What a brilliant effort

Early last year we were lucky enough to meet Victoria Porrit via a mutual friend. Victoria explained she was about to become President for the year of Elland Ladies Circle and was looking for a local charity that she and her ladies could raise funds for. Luckily she was impressed by what Skillshop was trying to achieve and, decided that she would nominate Skillshop as her chosen charity. At the start of her tenure she was aiming to raise £1,000 for us and we were all surprised and delighted.

As you can see from the poster below, Victoria didn't keep her word because the Elland Ladies Circle actually raised the magnificent total of £2,000, double the original target.
